Chewing-gum Shortage
Due to the import regulations some difficulty is being experienced by merchants in meeting the demand for chewing gum. A consignment which recently reached a Gisborne mercantile firm was disposed of immediately, rationing being necessary to ensure that all retailers having orders in received! supplies of this popular sweet. The position is common throughout •the Dominion.
