PEARLS IN GUTTER

LONDON, Jan. 21. A £SOO pearl necklace, stolen from Sir John Inskip’s home. The Chantry, Abbots Leigh, near Bristol, on Christmas Day, was found yesterday in the gutter of Church road, near the house, by a vanman. How the necklace got there is not known, for it is thought that if the thieves dropped it in their flight it would have been discovered before. Sir John is a brother of Sir Thomas Inskip, Minister for Co-ordination of Defence.
