After attending the national athletic championships in Napier, Messrs P. A. Gavin, R. Quinn and H. Littler, Gisborne, left on a tour of the North Island.

The Mayor, Mr. D. W. Coleman, M.P., returned to Gisborne on Saturday evening after attending the municipal conference in Dunedin.

Mr. C. E. Murch, assistant-manager of the London branch of the Union Bank or Australia, was a visitor to Gisborne over the .week-end. He recently toured Australia and is no>v engaged on a tour of New Zealand in the interests of the bank. Mr. Murch arrived at Gisborne on Saturday from Napier and left this morning for Auckland, where he sails by the R.M.S. Niagara on March 21 for Vancouver en route to England.
