FUGITIVE ARRESTED

DISCOVERY BY POLICE YOUTH BEFORE COURT (P«T PiesK Association.) i DUNEDIN, this day. After eluding a search in dense bush near his Wakari home for five weeks, a youth of 17 years was discovered in a horse-box on the wharf by a constable last evening and was arrested on a charge of being idle and disorderly and having insufficient means of support. He was- remanded for six days, and is to be kept apart from other prisoners. The magistrate, Mr. J. R. Bartholomew, ordered tne suppression of his name. The fugitive's clothing was wet and torn and his physical condition poor, his diet having been mainly turnips. The police had provided fresh clothing and a shave.
