Hickling, president of the Nuhaka A. and P. Society, made a presentation to the guests of the evening on behalf of Nuhaka and Wairoa residents, the Nuhaka-A. and P. Society, Sports Club, Morere Cricket Club, and Wairoa Collie Club.

In presenting a cheque, Mr. Hickling expressed regret at the departure of Mr. and Mrs. Goldstone and spoke in eulogistic terms of their activities. They would be greatly missed and he wished them the very best in their sphere. On behalf of the Nuhaka Football Club, Mr. Hickling also presented Mr. and Mrs. Goldstone with a handsome crystal jug and tumblers.

Mr. Goldstone said that they had only been too pleased to help at all times. He hoped that the Nuhaka Football Club would continue as successfully as in the past, especially the younger team which he was very interested in.

A delectable supper was served by the ladies.

Mr. R. Steed gave the use of the hall free.
