A net revenue of £155,736. or £47.504 more than for the corresponding period last year, is shown by the railway working account for the four weeks ended February 4, an abstract of which has been published in the Gazette. The returns for the railway year to that date show a net revenue of £208,660 for the 44 weeks, a substantial recovery from the position at December 10, when there was a working loss of £2256. Revenue for the 44 weeks from April 1 to February 4 was £7,491,417, an in 7 crease of £401,481 on the figure for the corresponding portion of last year. Expenses totalling £7,288,757 were £620.974 higher. Net revenue at £208.660 decreased by £219,493.
