The Stuart Cause
•'JYALGARNEY Goes North." by Mr. John Ferguson, is one of the best historical romances of last year. With the Stuart cause as the background, the novel opens up with a romantic meeting of Dalgarney with Margaret Murray, but as the young man is apparently a hike-warm supporter of the Prince, their love affair is nipped in. the bud by Margaret's scorn for her indifferent lover. How Dalgarney becomes an enthusiast, proves his loyalty and eventually wins his bride, is told in fine style.
