EXTENSION PLANNED NEAR EAST AND INDIA BERLIN, March 2. Germany’s ambitions in the Near East and in India are mentioned in the Deutscher Lebensraum, which states that, a trade agreement having been concluded with Turkey, the Reich is now turning its eyes to Iran and Iraq. The paper- says that ports on the Black Sea and Persian Gulf are growing in importance for Germany. Already the Hamburg-Amerika Line is making arrangements for trade witli the Persian Gulf, while the Lufthansa Berlin-Damascus Tehevin airline is being extended to Kabul, Afghanistan.
