N.Z. Amateur Athletic Titles L. Grey, Gisborne’s representative in the pole vault and high jump events at the New Zealand amateur athletic Championships, which open in Napier to-day, travelled to Napier yesterday, while C. Parkinson, who is lo represent Gisborne in the 880yds and hop, step and jump events, makes the trip to-morrow morning by plane. Several officials of the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club, who are to attend to-morrow’s meeting in Napier, leave Gisborne this evening for the, Hawke’s Bay centre. The party will include Mr. R. J. Quinn, chairman of the executive, Mr. H. Liltler, club captain, Mr. J. E. Mercer, hon. secretary, and. Mr.* M. Taylor, a member of the executive.
