The Bishop of Wellington, the Rt. Rev. H. St. Barbe Holland, expects shortly to undergo an operation, which is not serious, but which will prevent him from fulfilling engagements until Easter.

Mr. John Roberts, workers’ representative at the next International Labour Conference at Geneva, and Mrs. Roberts, will leave Christchurch on March 18 for Auckland to join the Niagara on March 21 for Vancouver. They will spend a few days in New York and will then proceed to England, where they will stay for some time before Mr. Roberts leaves for Geneva.
