X|o\Y ZEALANDERS’ WORK LONDON, Feb. 9. Of great interest to architects, engineers, and builders throughout the world will be the new work on the design and construction of building written in three volumes by a young New Zealander, Mr. Conrad A. Mamann, of Christchurch, and his partner, Mr. F. .1. Samuely. an Englishman. A rising firm of consulting engineers. they have compiled the first volume largely with the idea ot simplifying the interpretation ot the by-laws of the London County Council and have included in it more than tIOO illustrations. Mr. Ilamann. who is a son of Mr. C. G. Ilamann, of Fendalton, and a son-in-law of Mr. M. B. Esson, the New Zealand Government representative on the Committee for International Communications, graduated at Canterbury College and first came to England in 1932.
