For Trentham Prior to the- Woodville meeting Ruatiti suffered a slight mishap, but is reported to be ail right again and is booked for a trip to Trentham. New Barrier The “Henry” machine, a new and quicker release barrier similar to that in use at Ellerslie and Paeroa, is to be installed by the Manaatwu Racing Club. Konneta Larne The two-year-old Konneta has developed leg trouble and is likely to be on the easy list for some time. It is ili-luck for Mr. Max Steinberg to lose the services of the brilliant filly, who is one of the smartest juveniles of the season. Race Days Transferred The Woodville Jockey Club has received advice from the Minister of Internal Affairs that the two remaining days of the Dannevirke Racing Club have been transferred to the Manawatu Club, which will race on May 19 and 20. Racing- Taxation Government taxation in connection with the Franklin Racing Club’s meeting at Pukekohe on Saturdaj amounted to £4455 17s lOd, made up as follows: —Totalisator tax, £2091 16s Gd; dividend tax, £2287 13s; amusement tax, £57 4s 4d; stakes tax, £l9 4s.
