WIN AND PLACE BETTING AUCKLAND jMEETING By “Trenton” The committee of the Auckland, Racing Club recently decided to revert to win-ancl-place betting and will reintroduce the system at its autumn meeting at Easter. Both win and place tickets will be procurable at the same window, but while the electric machine will issue place tickets, the win ticket will have to be stamped by hand, for it is no* possible in such a short time to get the parts necessary to alter the totalisator so that it can issue both kinds of tickets. The betting foi each system will be shown on an indicator, tire same as was formerly done when the club had win and place. The club last; used win and place at its summer meeting in the 193.1-34 season..
