DISCUSSIONS CONTINUED
(Eke. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (British Oflieinl Wireless.) Reed. 1 p.m. RUGBY. March 3. British representatives met. some of the delegates of the Arab Slates to the Palestine conference and members of the Jewish Agency last night and informal talks were continued until midnight. Earlier in the day the discussion of the British suggestions was continued between the British and'Palestine Aral) delegates.
It is reported that the Colonial Secretary, Mr. Malcolm 'MacDonald, may be in a position la formulate the British proposals more precisely in the light of the recent discussions within the next day or two. The Times understands that the Jewish conference committee, after considering possible counter-proposals ns alternatives to the British suggestions, decided to ask the Government to clarify its proposals and in particular to state whether it intends to safeguard the future growth of the Jewish national home, as in that case the Jews might bo prepared to discuss plans involving the end of the mandate.
