FATAL FALL FROM CAR

FARMER’S WIFE KILLED EFFORT TO CLOSE DOOR (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., this day. A tragic accident occurred on Ormond road, near Woodville, at 9.45 o’clock last evening, resulting in the death of Mrs. Elsie Ada Harris, aged 4ti, the wife of Mr. Alfred Harris, a farmer, Woodville. Mrs. Harris had been with her husband visiting friends ancl they were on the way home when the accident occurred. Mr. Harris was driving. Noticing the front door on her side of the car was loose on its catch, Mrs. Harris leaned forward to pull it closed, but instead pushed it open and fell on to the roadway, landing on her head.
