One Tree Hill Borough Council: “That the Government be requested to enact appropriate legislation requiring all hawkers and itinerant vendors to be licensed annually, 01 otherwise, and that the Police Department be the sole licensing authority. The remit was carried. Wellington: “That legislation be obtained to provide that the council of any local authority controlling a crematorium may issue cremation ceitificates, on such terms as it thinks fit, entitling persons to be cremated without a charge other than the payment of the ordinary medical fees and also entitling legal representatives of the person named in any certificate to a refund of the fee on proof that i the person named in the certificate has died and that his body has been disposed of by burial or ciema e . ° has been lost at sea, 01 py * explosion or other accident m such a way as to be irrecoverable for burial, all such fees to be credited to a separate account and, if dosned, dcpasited until required in the Pad Office Savings Bank, or any bank lawfully carrying on the business of banking in New Zealand or any New Zealand Government securities.
