ACTIVITIES OF VICEROY
ASSISTANCE TO RAJKOT
(Reed. March 8, 2.30 p.m.) BOMBAY, March 7. Mahatma Gandhi pays a tribute to the Viceroy of India, the Marquess of Linlithgow, as responsible for the settlement of the Rajkot dispute, which, he says, will help towards a general solution of the problem of the Indian States. Gandhi adds that he docs not subscribe to the view that the Princes are beyond reform. All would be well if the Princes read the lessons of the past and responded to the spirit of the times, but they would have to take heroic measures.
