MONEY. FOR REFUGEES SINGAPORE, Jan. 21. When liners with Jewish refugees dock at Singapore, a Jewish resident goes aboard and gives a £1 note to each exile wao says he is penniless. He does this because in his youth he too was a refugee and recalls how glad he was when someone on board a liner gave him one pound. Hundreds of Jewish refugees from Germany are passing through Singapore and other Malayan ports on thenway to Shanghai, one of the few cities in the world where they will find no immigration restrictions.
