The All-Australian Trade Union Congress has adopted a defence policy opposing a standing army and compulsory training, but favouring voluntary enlistment.
ft stipulated that there should be no collaboration with the plan of defence formulated‘by the Federal Government on the ground that the Ministry had allied itself with (Britain’s "appeasement” policy.
