Motions 'of condolence were passed by the Gisborne Borough Council last night with the relatives of the late Mrs. T. Todd and Mr. I. Mil-field. The Deputy-Mayor, Cr. J. IT. Hall, stated that Mr. Todd had been a member of the council and other local bodies, and the heaTtfelt sympathy of the council went out to him in the loss of his wife The late Mr. Mirfield also had been a member of the council and other local bodies, and had rendered valuable service; he had been a councillor from 1919 to 1924.

'Bull is in twenty-fourth place. Yesterday Jeune secured first prize in the Bisley aggregate with 190, Bull being in the 10s prize-winners with 184. Jeune was fourth in the Australian aggregate with 237, four points behind the winner, While V. W. Taylor secured a £1 prize with 228. In the Southland Match Jeune was again well up, two points behind the winner, while Bull, only one point further back, was with Jeune in the £1 prize-winners. Jeune and Bull were also well rq> in the Auckland Match, in which Jeune was two points behind the winner and was in the £2 prize-money, Bull being in the 10s place-getters.
