CALL TO EX-SERVICEMEN
“IIAVH COT TO C.MVR iyuah"
“The ex-servicemen have to give New Zealand a lead in defence; it is not a question of fighting but one of preparedness,” said Mr. S. Harrison, 0.8. E., genera] secretary of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers’ Association, at the reunion of the H.utt Valley sub-branch of the R.S.A. New Zealand’s isolation helped but an adequate land force was required for defence and if New Zealand could put up 20,000 trained men, it would be safe from invasion. The New Zealand R.S.A. stood for adequate defence.
