T. R. GEORGE’S TEAM TARANAKI MEETING PEERLESS IN CUP ONLY FRANKLIN SCRATCHINGS By ‘‘Trenton” Owing to the excellent performances of Trebor and Drachma at Bulls on Saturday, Trainer T. R. George has decided to take them to the Taranaki meeting, together with Peerless and Pearl of Asia. Peerless is to start in the Cup only, while Drachma and Trebor will be present on the opening day but will probably return to Carterton for that fixture on Saturday. Going to England The lightweight horseman N. Vaughan will leave Wellington for England by the Rangitiki on Thursday.
