ATTITUDE TO SPAIN

BRUT SI IR k it; es knt atton

(Klee. Tel. Copyright— United Press Assn.) (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, Mar. C. There could, therefore, be no diplomatic representation between Britain and the Republican administration. In the territory which was not at present under General Franco's control, the British consular oflicers would take such action as might be appropriate for the protection of British interests and for humanitarian purposes.

As far as Britain’s information showed the Republican administration was not in control of territory beyond Madrid.
