WIN BY EUROPEANS MAORI TEAM DEFEATED (Herald Correspondent.) A very enjoyable all-day tennis match, Europeans v. Maoris, was played on the Te Karaka tennis courts during the week-end. W A IvRENGA- A-HIKA CLUB (Herald Correspondent.) There was a good attendance of nlnvers at the Waerenga-a-hika tennis courts on Saturday, when a combined mixed doubles tournament was held. The winners were Miss 1. Walsh and L. Ingram. Those present included Mrs. Candy’ Misses N. Rogers, R. Barber, p l Ingram, I. Walsh, M. Greig, M. O’Rourke, B. Warrington and W. Fenton. A match for the Club stars was played ‘between O’Rburke . and Miss Walsh and L. Bell and Miss R- Barber, the former pair, the holders, proving the winners after an evenlycontested game.
