YOUTH ADMITS OFFENCE
A statement that his action had not been actuated by bad feeling, but that it. had just come into his head was made by Frederick David Thompson, aged 2fi, who pleaded guilty in the Dargaville Magistrate's Court to a charge of wilfully setting fire to hay so situated rtlhat he knew a building was likely to catch fire. The house, a six-roomed dwelling, is occupied by Messrs, S. W. and E. W. Gada, and their mother, at Duck Creek, near Dargaville.
Accused, who appeared before justices of the peace, was committed to the Supreme Court at Auckland for sentence
