STRIKE FORM GOOD INNINGS SCORE Marist set the senior competition leaders, G.H.5.0.8.. a difficult task on Saturday when they knocked up the handsome total of 230 runs in their first innings and captured two of the ex-students' wickets for 41 runs before time was called. Winning the toss, G.H.5.0.8. put their opponents in on what proved to be a perfect batsmen's wicket. T. M.

CITY IN THE LEAD OLD BOYS' GOOD EFFORT A feature of the second senior A grade match on Saturday was the excellent batting performance of A. G. Fisher, whose century enabled his side to run up its highest score of the season. The opening batsmen, G. N. Lcckett and Fisher, put up a fine stand, hoisting 103 runs before Lockett was bowled by G. L. Winter. Fisher opened his shoulders to the bowling right from the start, and iris effort included three sixes, 14 fours and nine twos. Old Boys were two men short and their final tally of 178 runs was not good enough to give them a first innings' margin, for their opponents ran up a total of 181 runs for six wickets down.
