The final of 11 heads, was a splendid game between McConnell, Poole, Slight, and McKenzie -(s) and Forrest, Nasmith, Williams, and Armstrong (s). With the score 10—3 against them on the sixth head, Armstrong's rink were playing an -uphill fight. Wanting four to win on the last head, Armstrong, with the last bowl, played a beautiful shot to trail, but the kitty jammed on one of his own bowls, preventing the necessary lour counters to win, the final score being McKenzie 12, Armstrong 11.
