(Herald Correspondent.) Sixteen teams took part in the oneday bowling tournament in Tokomaru Bay over the, week-end, the games being played in perfect weather. B Section.—Armstrong, 4J wins, iloss; Short, 4,1; L. Walker, 2A, 2t; Hurlestone, 2,3; Newton, 2,3; Bradley 2,3; Birch, 2,3; Savage, I, 4. The final of 11 heads, was a splendid game between McConnell, Poole, Slight, and McKenzie -(s) and Forrest, Nasmith, Williams, and Armstrong (s). With the score 10—3 against them on the sixth head, Armstrong's rink were playing an -uphill fight. Wanting four to win on the last head, Armstrong, with the last bowl, played a beautiful shot to trail, but the kitty jammed on one of his own bowls, preventing the necessary lour counters to win, the final score being McKenzie 12, Armstrong 11.
