Hotel Tariffs in Wellington
So far Wellington hotelkeepers have not followed the lead of those in Auckland who, since the ne\v hotel workers' award became operative on December 5, 'have raised the daily tariff by from 5 to 7J per cent. However, on inquiry this week it was found that the Wellington branch of the hotel proprietors' organisation has not met since the new award became operative, and it was made very clear that Wellington would soon have to follow the Auckland example.
