ENDING OTTAWA PACT
BRITAIN" AND INDIA NEW TREATY SOUGHT (British Official Wireless.) Reed. noon. RUGBY. Dec. 29. Formal notice has been received from India of the termination next March of the agreement between Britain and India concluded at Ottawa in 1932. The President of the Board of Trade, Mr. Oliver Stanley, stated in the House of Commons recently that the termination of the agreement did not imply any breakdown" in the negotiations for a new trade agreement.
