GRANITE FROM THE OLD WATERLOO BRIDGE over the Thames, which arrived at Wellington from London a few days ago and will be used, to build a wall of approximately 100 square yards as a look-out station on Mount Victoria, one of the city’s proposed Centennial memorials. The bridge from which the stone was taken was opened by the Duke of Wellington just after the Battle of Waterloo.
