FALL FROM CHIMNEY
MAN DROPS 40 PERT Falling 40ft. from the top of a chimney at the Steel Construction Company’s works, Portage road. New Lynn, Auckland, Mr. Louis Charles Chaillet, aged 31, married, of Bank street, Mount Wellington, suffered serious injuries. Mr. Chaillet was working on the chimney. He fell 30ft. on to the sheet iron roof of a building, through which he crashed and fell a further 1 Oft. to the ground. Be struck his head on a girder of the building. The injured man was attended <by a doctor and sent to the Auckland Hospital. His condition was considered serious.
