DEATH AT 82 YEARS
SIR JAMES SEXTON FORMER T.U.C. CHIEF (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 1.15. RUGBY, Dec. 27. The death of Sir James Sexton has occurred. He was 82 years of age. Formerly general secretary of the National Union of Dock Labourers, he was the president of the Trades Union Congress in 1905. From 1918 to 1931, he was the Labour member of the House of Commons for St. Helens. He was created C.B.E. in 1917 and a knight in 19$1.
