A Morning Party
During the Christmas week-end, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Caseley entertained some of their friends at a delightful morning swimming party at their home in Clifford street. The guests enjoyed a bathe in the Waimata River, which flows beside the garden, and afterwards appreciated a savoury tea, which was served in the drawingroom and on the verandah. The floral decorations indoors were tastefully carried out with pink and mauve hydrangeas and handsome cannas to tone. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. P. A. Pettit. Mr, and Mrs. Rees Allan, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Chrisp, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Harris, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Harris; Mesdames W. Hamilton Irvine and J. Oman; Misses E. Wilson and .1. Ryan (Wellington), and June Irvine; Messrs. B. Irvine, L. C. Parker, D. B. Barry, E. Permain, and A. Boon and R. Beadel, t>oth of Christchurch.
