RECENT FORM OF WOTAN
Wotan, in spile of the fact that he i; a Melbourne Cup winner, with only 3.3 in the Auckland Cup, was not among the early fancies, but when he won "the Manchester Handicap at Feilding less than a month ago be was a! once taken up as a possibility. Wotan has been a hard horse to follow :u the last two years, but when he is in form his ability to run a long journey cannot bo gainsaid. Master Brierly is another proved stayer who has been showing signs of returning form. His last victory was in the President’s Handicap at the last Easter meeting at Ellerslie.
