CHRISTMAS PARTY (Iluralil Correspondunf.) A happy evening was spent on Monday when the Patutahi Women’s institute held its annual children’s Christmas party in the Patutahi Hall. There was a large attendance of children, parents and friends. Games were organised by members of the committee, assisted by Mr. L. Thodey, the beginning of the entertainment being taken up with polkas, waltz's, and the Grand Old Duke of York. Items by children which received splendid applause were a recitation by Pat Atkins, a cornet solo by Colin Nunns, and a drill display by Collina Cameron. Muriel Atkins, Peggy Waddell and Margaret. Robb. A party supper was served, Santa Claus making his appearance at its conclusion, and each child received a gift. The distribution of gifts from the decorated Christmas tree by Santa Claus concluded with gifts being presented to the president and secretary, Mrs. J. Atkins and Mrs. J. B. Clark, and also to Mr. L.
