THE DUKE OF KENT
VOYAGE TO AUSTRALIA CHOICE OF LINER LONDON, Dec. 1. The honour of conveying the Duke and Duchess of Kent and party to Australia in October or November next year will go either to the P. and O. Company’s Strathallan or the Orient Company’s Orcadcs, the “crack.” ships of the two best-known lines serving Australia. A final decision will be made this month. At present it appears likely that the Orcades will be honoured. She is due at Fremantle on November 5, 1939, and the Strathallan on October 31. One of the most frequent visitors recently to the home of the Duke and Duchess of Kent in Belgrave Square has been the High Commissioner for Australia, Mr. S. M. Bruce.. He will call at least three times 'before his departure for Washington, on December 10.
