His Majesty the King dined privately with Earl Baldwin at Eaton Square last night. The only other guests, apart from a member of the King’s household, were prominent members of the Opposition.
The Times says that the dinner was arranged by Earl Baldwin to enable the King to meet leading members of the Opposition, whose acquaintance he had not made previously.
