The net profit for the year of the British Tobacco Company of Australia amounted to £911,478, compared with £911,380 for the previous year and £607,701 in 1935-36. Four interim dividends of 2 per cent have been paid and a final dividend of 2 per cent has been declared, making 10 per cent on ordinary shares, absorbing £813.440.
