FLOOD WATERS RECEDE
RELIEF IN TARANAKI NO LOSS OF STOCK CLEARING OF HIGHWAY (Per Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. Though it is estimated that it will take three days to clear a large slip that blocks the New Plymoutb-Auck-land road in the Awakino Valley, a passageway for light cars was made over it yesterday by laying fresh metal.
Service cars, however, stil: had to tranship passengers. The flood waters at Awakino and in the Uruti Valley have receded without the loss of stock and the road is negotiable.
