Mrs. G. W. Humphreys and her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Sibley, accompanied by the latter’s family, have booked their return passages to New Zealand by the Rimutaka, to leave England on December 8, after spending a holiday in the Old Country.

Commander and Mrs. W. G. Hewson and family, who left Christchurch in May for Europe, have been spending several weeks at St. Jean de Luz in France. Mrs. Hewson went to Marseilles to meet her brother, Mr. Jack Bristcd, who flew to Europe from Sydney. With him, she flew to Geneva, where she found much to interest tier. On the beach at St. Jean de Luz, sn.: casually met a Wellington friend, Miss Enid Bell, who has been spending many months abroad. Commander and Mrs. Hewson are now in London, staying at a hotel in Richmond Hill, the manager of which is the wellknown tennis player, formerly Miss Betty Nuthall.
