HEALTH CAMP WORK

WAIKATO LEAGUE’S PLANS

The Waikato Children’s Camp League’s camp at Port Waikato will begin on December 21 and will continue over a period of six weeks, the full duration of the school holidays. The league expects to entertain 750 children, who will go into camp in three contingents. Each contingent will remain in camp for a fortnight. Hopes were entertained that a grant would be available from the National Federation of Health Camps to enable improvements to be carried out at Port Waikato in time for this summer’s camp, but, although plans have been prepared and an application has been forwarded ioy the grant, an allocation has not yet been made, and it is not possible to have the work done in time.
