LADIES’ GOLF

PARK CLUB TROPHIES SEASON’S CONCLUSION PRESENTATION OEREMONY Trophies won in the ladies’ competitions on the Park Golf Club course during the past season were presented at a dance held on Saturday evening at the course, Mrs. J. Johnstone, president ■of the ladies’ club, making the presentations and congratulating the winners and other trophy winners. Winners of cups and other mementoes of their successes were accorded hearty applause, and Miss Gordon, who received a special trophy in the form of a ball mounted On a small plinth, and suitably inscribed, was warmly commended upon having been the first member of the club to hole out in one. Following the presentations, the large gathering enjoyed a dainty supper, served in the clubhouse.

Those who shared in the presentation ceremony included winners of the following trophies:— Senior Championship (Allen Bros, and Johnstone Cup).—Mrs. E. E. Winter.

Trophy for runner-up to Senior Champion.—Mrs. P. Tureia. Junior Championship (Mrs. J. Johnstone’s Cup).—Mrs. T. W. Bavliss.

Trophy for runner-up to Junior Champion.—Mrs. Lee.

Senior Handicap (Thos. Corson and Sons’ Cup).—Mrs. P. Tureia. 'Runner-up trophy for Senior Handicap (Mr. Hall’s trophy).—Miss A. Leslie.

Junior Handicap ('Mrs. T. W. Bayliss” trophy).—Miss A. Dobbie. Runner-up trophy for Junior Handicap (Miss Landam’s trophy).—Miss E. Winter. Michie Handicap Trophy.—Mrs. M. McDonald. C Section Trophy for week-end Handicap Play (Mrs. Hall’s trophy).— Miss R. Scott. N.Z.L.G.U. Bronze Medal for best nett cards. —Mrs. P. Tureia.

Do Costa Cup, for aggregate of 12 best cards.—Miss E. M. Carr. Johnstone-Kav Stars, B Section.— Mrs. P. Tureia. Johnstone-Kay Stars, C Section.— Miss M. Alley.

Brooch Competition, on handicap.— B Section: Mrs. P. Tureia. C Section: Mrs. A. Clarke.

Eclectic Trophy (Mr. Rule’s trophy) —Miss M. Gordon.

Vase Competition.—B Section: Mesdnmes Lunken and Swainson, Misses Hockley and Landman. C Section: Misses E. Winter, O. Bannister and E. Johnson, and Mrs. Reynolds. Mention was made during the even ing of Mrs. E. E. Winter’s success in the senior championship for the third season in succession. This player previously won the De Costa Cup outright, and returned it to the club for further competition.
