PENSIONER'S FATE
DEATH IN BLAZING HUT
TRAGEDY IN RIVERSDALE
An old-age pensioner was burned to death early on Sunday morning when his hut at Riversdale was destroyed by fire. The victim was Mr. William Souter. When the fire was discovered the building was a furnace and the walls were about to fall in. It was not possible to do anything to Mr. Souter, who apparently died in his bed. Police investigating later in the day found bones among the ashes of the hut.
