Bell, Ballance street, Gisbornc. On completing his education at the Gisbornc High School two years ago. Mr. Bell joined the staff of the Public Trust office in Gisborne. He is to sail from New Zealand on November 17 fov England.

Mr. L. J. Sehmitt, general manager of the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts and Publicity, visited Gisborne this week in company with Mr. W. E. Penno, Rotorua, district manager for the department. Messrs. Sehmitt and Penno reached Gisborne on Monday from Rotcrua, via - Waikaremoana, and, proceeding to the East Coast, spent the night at Te Puia. Returning to Gisborne yesterday morning, Mr. Sehmitt met representatives of various local organisations and in the afternoon departed for Wairoa and Napier.
