OBITUARY
MR. A. J. RACHINGER (Special to the Herald.) WAIROA, this day. The death occurred in Wanganui early on Thursday morning after a lengthy illness of Mr. Arthur James Rachinger, of Frasertown road, Mr. Rachinger had been in business in Wairoa as a butcher for many years and was particularly well known throughout the district. Mr. Rachinger showed keen interest in the development of the pig industry in the district, and his efforts in this connection have assisted in no small way in putting the industry on a firm footing in Wairoa. The movement, which has shown considerable growth in the district, owes much to his practical interest and encouragement.
Mr. Rachinger was a keen bowler, being a member of the Wairoa Bowling Club, and also took a great interest in horse-racing.
Mr. Rachinger is survived by his wile, three daughters. Mrs. Godfrey Gay, Mrs. D. McErlich. Miss Thelma Rachinger, and one son. ivir. James Rachinger.
The funeral will taKe olace this afternoon, leaving St. Paul's Church for the Wairoa cemetery.
