GERMAN COLONY PLANS
INTEREST IN NEW SCHOOL BERLIN, July 24. Great publicity is being given to preparations for the opening on October 5 of tire new school of colonial administration. It is announced that the school'will be entirely under the control of Herr Karlowa, formerly Consul-General for Germany at Batavia, who later became chief of the colonial section of the “Ribbentrop Bureau” in Berlin. Various illustrated newspapers here consistently illustrate the colonial empires of Britain and . France, and also the British and French, mandated territories. At the moment, the spotlight i,s playing fiercely on Palestine, and on the various sources from which material for Britain’s re-armament is being drawn. One cartoon in the official paper “Black Guards” (“Das Schwarze Korps”) shows a British Air Marshal saying to another officer: "We have now got American planes, Canadian flying schools, and French aerodromes. If, in addition, we could get recruits from Germany we should be 0.K.”
