MEASLES EPIDEMIC
"Although in the northern and middle areas of North Auckland the measles epidemic has abated, an outbreak of chickenpox is reported in the northern districts,” stated Dr. C. B. Gilberd, Whangarei, medical officer of health for North Auckland. In the more southerly parts of the territory the measles outbreak is still prevalent and the attendance at the majority of the schools is very low.
