To have a bullet from a .22 calibre rifle pierce a window pane and land in their midst was the experience of Mr. J. McMahon and family, of Muller road, Blenheim, when they were having their mid-day meal. When the bullet landed in the room it had apparently spent its force, for, after going through the window, it fell to the floor, giving the appearance that it had been fired some distance away. Mr. McMahon made inquiries from the neighbours and ascertained that no One in the near vicinity had fired the shot.
