PALMERSTON N., last night,

In the Supreme Court to-day Mr. Justice Quilliam sentenced Thomas John Lucinsky, labourer, aged 30, who was found guilty of the theft of a safe and contents valued at £446, to one year's imprisonment. His Honour added that the jury had taken a merciful view of the accused's case, hence the light sentence.
