"The Place of the Reserve Bank in the National Economy" was the subled' of an interesting address by Mr G. Lawn at a meeting of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants. He referred (o tinnew conditions facing economists in the quickly-changing world—complex conditions which had obliged them to get new bearings on the altered ground. "There is no doubt t'hal economists need very good running shoes to keep up with the march of events," said Mr. L. II fleslop, in moving a vote of thanks to Mr. Lawn.
